About Carol Hansen

Carol Hansen has lived in the Tri-City area most of her life. She graduated from Pasco Senior High School and went on to attend Brigham Young University. She returned to college at Brigham Young University-Idaho where she continued her life-long learning, earning an AAS degree in general studies cum laude. She continues to attend online classes with BYU-I to complete her bachelor’s degree in professional studies in the business field.

Carol began her career as a legal secretary in 1978. She is currently a senior paralegal at Gravis Law in the Kennewick office. Her more than 40 years of experience has covered many areas of law. For more than 30 years, her work has focused primarily on personal injury law and assisting clients through the claim process during her tenure with Hames, Anderson, Whitlow & O’Leary. She continues to support Mr. Anderson in personal injury law at Gravis Law by helping clients manage their claim from start to finish. This includes dealing with auto, health, Medicare, and/or Medicaid insurers and subrogation companies, managing client medical records and bills, writing demand letters, and other tasks leading toward a favorable settlement.

She has been married for 40 years to her husband, Evan, a Connell High School graduate. Both come from farming families. Since their athletic days in high school, they have continued to enjoy an active lifestyle. They have four adult sons and six grandchildren. Over the years, they have enjoyed a wide variety of activities together including camping, golfing, snow skiing, bowling, and traveling. In her personal time, she loves to be in the kitchen baking, making hand-dipped chocolates, or relaxing with a good book. She enjoys country music and is a George Strait fan for life.

Carol also enjoys involvement in the community. She has served in teaching, leadership, and public affairs positions with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has been a member of Soroptimist International of Pasco-Kennewick for nearly 30 years serving in leadership positions locally and throughout the northwestern region. She is a graduate of Leadership Tri-Cities Class IV and past board member who assisted with the agriculture class.
